The ARIES-NBSOIL Open Library is a user-friendly platform that provides open access to soil-related knowledge, aligned with the FAIR principles—making data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. Through ARIES semantic web services, users can explore a wide range of soil health variables and modelling components, freely available after a quick registration.
By defining a specific geographical and temporal context, users can query and visualise soil properties and assess soil health across multiple dimensions. Powered by a semantic, AI-driven engine, the platform delivers indicator-based results tailored to the selected area—making it a valuable resource for researchers, land managers, and policymakers.
ARIES (Artificial Intelligence for Environment & Sustainability), hosted by NBSOIL partner BC3, aims to transform data-intensive science for decision-making by ensuring that scientific data and models follow FAIR principles. In a digital era where connectivity and collaboration are key, ARIES envisions a future where individuals, businesses, and governments can access a fully connected information ecosystem—enabling collective action to tackle critical environmental and sustainability challenges.
