The NBSOIL Soil Health Index Tool was introduced as an online resource for soil advisors and farmers. It integrates data from labs, digital tools, satellites, etc., to track soil health and threat mitigation at the field level.

Introducing Project Glossary in 7 Languages
The NBSOIL Project marked its first anniversary by unveiling a carefully crafted project glossary. This resource standardized crucial terms, aiding communication among collaborators. The glossary, in English, Polish, German, Dutch, French, Italian, and Spanish, is accessible online.

NBSOIL Marketplace
The NBSOIL Marketplace, introduced as a collaborative hub for soil advisors, researchers, land managers, and stakeholders, has concluded its launch phase. Hosted on TriplePerformance.fr, a platform dedicated to agroecological practices, this marketplace encourages the exchange of knowledge and services related to soil health. The platform’s wiki system allowed structured knowledge sharing while fostering grassroots collaborative interactions.

Meet the NBSOIL demo sites selected to test soil health restoration with nature-based solutions
The NBSOIL Project has selected demonstration sites for the testing of nature-based solutions (NBS) to restore soil health in different human-affected ecosystems. The demonstration sites, located in Poland, Austria, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, will showcase practical NBS demonstrations that will allow us to assess and fine-tune the knowledge and technologies required for their application.

European Mission Soil Week
NBSOIL exhibited its innovative approach at the EU Mission Soil Week in Madrid from 21-23 November. Representatives included NBSOIL project coordinator Dr. Grzegorz Siebelec from IUNG and Javier Montellano from REVOLVE.

NBSOIL Project Meeting in Vienna
The NBSOIL Project partners convened in Vienna from 27-29 September 2023, using the meeting to advance project developments through reflection and collaborative work. Additionally, partners visited two NBSOIL demo sites in Austria during the gathering.

Nature as a co-designer
Patricia Carbonell, the Head of the Barcelona Office for REVOLVE, the lead communication partner of the NBSOIL Project, took part in the panel: “Nature as a Co-designer: Embracing Nature for a Circular Future.” Emphasising that everything begins with soil, Patricia presented NBSOIL and highlighted the various activities planned throughout the project, including the Soil Academy and Vision cards.
